Before taking on his current role at the Office of Systems Integration, David worked with the California Department of Health Care Services as an attorney in 2015 and 2016. Prior to that, he worked at the law firm of Pino and Associates in Sacramento from for five years. While studying to become a lawyer, David taught a review class to law students. He currently resides in Sacramento, California.

David Haynes earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry with a minor in history from the University of California, Davis. He then went on to receive his law degree form the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. He graduated magna cum laude.
