Tonya Moreno is a licensed CPA with about 15 years of diversified accounting, tax, and management experience. She was a practicing CPA in 2014 and 2015, and she specialized in taxes on the state level, helping numerous, large multi-state corporations with tax proceedings. Prior to that, she served as a tax analyst, providing research, analysis, and aid to companies, including USA Today. She wrote many articles about state-level tax issues for The Balance.

She not only has experience in preparing state and federal tax returns, but has also dealt with complex tax issues with large amounts of money at stake. Today, Tonya serves as the chief financial officer of Maslonka Powerline Services in Spokane, Washington.


Moreno earned her bachelor’s degree in business accounting from the College of Business and Economics at the University of Idaho. She holds an active CPA license in the state of Idaho.
